Building a Stronger, More Connected Travis County Democratic Party
Jessica’s vision involves organizing where people already gather (in schools, churches, neighborhood events, and community spaces) building real relationships beyond election cycles and strengthening trust across every corner of our county.
Jessica will empower Precinct Chairs with clear engagement metrics, modern tracking tools, meaningful training, and a culture of collaboration and accountability. Quarterly CEC meetings will rotate across Travis County to increase accessibility and transparency, complemented by informal monthly gatherings focused on connection and skill-building. She will also work to encourage Central Texas elected officials to invest in strengthening our local party infrastructure, because sustainable progress requires sustainable support.
With a confident Democratic brand, professional marketing, authentic youth-driven social media engagement, and strategic partnerships with surrounding counties and aligned civic organizations, Travis County can lead with energy and coordination.

Jessica Cohen - A Proven Leader
Jessica Cohen is a proven leader, seasoned strategist, and dedicated advocate with decades of experience uniting diverse communities to drive meaningful change. As a progressive Democrat, she brings a deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and public service to everything she does.
Jessica currently serves as President of the Stonewall Democrats of Austin and Precinct Chair for Travis County Precinct 425. She is also a member of the Texas State Democratic Executive Committee, where she serves as the Vice President of the Texas Democratic Party’s LGBTQ Caucus. She plays a key role on the Resolutions and Convention Committees, helping shape the party’s platform and policy direction at the state level.
